The Art of Natural Dyes

Each color begins with the earth.

We work with plants, flowers, and roots (Indigo, Cochineal, Marigold, Gobernadora, Peruvian root, and St. John’s Wort) to bring our palette to life.

To create yellow, we blend herbs and flowers based on the tone we seek. Turmeric brings brightness, St. John’s Wort adds warmth, Marigold glows, and Gobernadora softens the hue toward green and ochre.

Our purples come from Indigo mixed with Cochineal or black beans from Mexico and Latin America, while Cochineal alone gives us deep reds.. ancient, powerful, alive.

These workshops are an invitation to reconnect with the slow process of making color; to witness the transformation of fabric and pigment, and to honor the beauty of nature’s rhythm.

✿ Sewing with Intention

Sewing is at the heart of what we do. It's a skill that sustains, empowers, and tells stories.

In our sewing workshops, attendees learn the fundamentals of garment making: from cutting patterns and hand stitching to upcycling and repairs. Each stitch is an act of independence, creativity, and care.

Our goal is to pass down sustainable techniques that build both confidence and livelihood, helping participants create their own pieces and feel the pride of making something with their own hands.
